Oh God
let me have a pair of wings
to fly down into the past
where I failed to live
but cherished all along

Let me have a pair eyes
to look and appreciate
all that is beautiful and romantic
the smile of a child to the scenic beauty of earth
the naughty looks of a girl to the dainty cheeks of a newlywed

Let me have a heart
to feel and reciprocate
love in all its colours
beauty in all its forms
that I sadly missed
over the years

Let me have a mind
that never roams and
hangs on to the object of love
so fulfilling and beautiful
in this world of glamour's
