A Love Duet Poem by Lucy Smythe

A Love Duet

1st line he, second she & so on

My sigh is no fire
Do you refuse to kiss me
That can be quenched by water,
And touch my hair,
But pain in my heart,
Oh son of the fairies?
And I will suffer.
As often as you have kissed me
Oh wonderful life.
And touched my hair,
What turns it takes.
May dark nights come upon you
The sky is clear at night
As you are all dressed in black,
And snow has settled by morning.
Oh king of the fairies!
