A Love, Gone Poem by Piyush Mishra

A Love, Gone

Only the sound when the wind sizzled
Accompanied me with its virtual feathers
Of that night after our frightful fight
On the roof of my lone wooden house

Only the bitterness of that wine cared
When it travelled down my throat
Embracing my loneliness in despair
While my body left me numb and cold

I looked towards the lane in front
Which you took, leaving me to suffer
Only that lone path now gives me hope
If you ever think to come back and cope.
