A Love Struck Lament: To One Far Away Poem by Simon Miller

A Love Struck Lament: To One Far Away

Rating: 4.0

Oh, my angel, if life was half as sweet
As the time I spend by your lovely side!
Life’s challenges I would willingly meet,
Made easier when you with me abide.
The love that you so freely give to me,
Is way more than I could ever deserve.
With you, my heart can finally be free.
So now in words, my love I do preserve.
I long for you, my darling, oh, my love,
Without you, I feel as if I’m not whole.
And my heart cries out as the Mourning Dove,
And so, to this end, I pour out my soul;
And unless God will come and condescend,
As long as I live, my love will not end.

Life faces many challenges but still there is hope to meet angel. There is definite hope that God will come and give love. Life is half sweet and half bitter but love is truly sweet. Moving ahead with love to greet is great really. This poem is excellently penned.
