A Lover's Missed Poem by Alexandra Bowden

A Lover's Missed

These tears are falling, because of you.
You made them fall, from my eyes.
A night I lay awake,
Hoping that your feelings will come back,
Hoping they become clear as blue sky.
I will wait, until that day arrives.

And when it has,
You'll hold me high.
Our bodies will warm from the sun,
Free from hate and unrequiteness,
Where you hold me in your arms with such tightness.

But I guess that day won't come,
And here still I lay.
And I wish that one day,
Your love for me,
Will come back again.
