A Low So Deep Poem by Remy Tom

A Low So Deep

The sun has lost its way
The clouds encroaching my day
I am forced to take the path less trodden
And all the things I previously dreaded
No matter what is painted on my face
I know my pathetically limpid pace
Yes, I smile those wonder-less smiles
But I have limped and struggled the miles
These turbulence have me at the end of my wit
Day by day deeper into the pit
The days I walked straight up and tough
Are well past my memory that can be roughed
Now as I look into the bleak horizon of my existence
Reeling on nothing but the glorious past tense
If ever I regain what I have lost
All this reckless canoodling at what cost
Sometimes the tide gets high, you risk your drowning
And there is nothing but despair and vacuum in the crowning
But I have to clear up my mind
Can't keep living in the rewind
Catch hold of the reigns in life
Even in the sorrows rife
Loss is abundant, wounds are deep,
but I don't have all the time to keep
All this will heal
before my last meal
