If I were a bird,
I would spread my wings and fly
Into the soaring blue, knocking on the skies
If I were a worm,
I would forever embrace the Earth
One with all its creaks and turns throughout the girth
If I were a tree,
I would explore the depths of the world
Unravelling many a buried mysteries
Yet calm, immobile, luscious among the herd
If I were a star,
I would shine with all my might,
Lighting a speck in the lonely night,
Illuminating eclipsed path of many a sailors in plight
But of all the things I want to be
I'm most grateful of the almighty
For making me the way I am
At this time and place
For I can be an artist of words
I am a bird, a tree, a star
At the nib of my pen.

You are very good, indeed you're an artist of words. I enjoyed two of your poems I've read so far, I must read all. Thanks for sharing.
