A Man Broken By Love Poem by Adams King

A Man Broken By Love

I was the sweetest soul under the sun
I was the loveliest lilly
Man has ever looked upon

I once had a heart of gold
A faithful one
Filled with pure love

Some strangers came into my home
They stole my joy and smiles
And left me barren of love

A heart of lively emotions
Became a graveyard of feelings
Where sweet love are buried

They were strangers I trusted
Women I loved with my whole
Left in me this unimaginable holes

Echoes of painful goodbyes
Different voices of daggers
Had pierced into this man

All that is left is a cold hand
A wounded soul
A heart that can hold no love

I have shed all my tears
I have cried it all
There's no more tears to shed

I was broken and heartbroken
I was heartbroken and broken
Till there's no more heart to be broken

If ever you cross my path
If ever you tell my story to me
Tell them I'm a man broken by love
