A Man With a Vision
There was a man who had a vision.
he saw a world without hate,
or racial division.
Love thy neighbour, help the sick,
was what he taught,
everyone is equal, give no favours,
no more wars to be fought.
Miracles were performed,
the hungry were fed,
the lame were able to walk,
the blind no longer had to be led.
But alas, his dream for the world was not to be,
for the Romans took him,
and nailed him to a cross,
made from the wood of a tree.
So for two thousand years,
the violence, and wars have continued on,
it's like a disease,
handed down from father to son.
Perhaps the only time the world will know peace.
is when mans existence on this planet,
comes to a cease.
