Good-Bye Poem by Tango

Good-Bye

Goodbye is just two little words,
but when they are put together,
they can mean so much.
When it's said the person can be leaving,
going for ever, out of touch.

A child says goodbye to her mother,
on her way to school.
knowing that at the end of the day,
she will be home again,
for that is the general rule.

You say goodbye to a loved one,
when they are laid out dead.
Thinking of good times in the past,
and things that now will never be said.

Goodbye, goodbye.
Just two little words, but they mean so much.

Tango.

Thought provoking poem - do we think of the implications when we utter these two words? I never said goodbye to my Mother - it hurts even today...I said goodbye to my Father it hurt then...which was worse? I dont know - goodbye in death so final. For the living I say demonstrate a goodbye with a smile or a hug for we never know... Again well done, a beautiful meaningful write
