A Marvelous April Morning - Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

As each budding leaf begins to swell
Winter's chill bows and bids farewell
Royal crocus colors and daffodil yellow
Stand tall as reviving juices begin to flow

At this moment gratefulness awakens
to this most wonderful of occasions...
Spring begins with a breath-taking start
Inspiring growth and cheering my heart

Renewing sight to glorious signs
Gentle sounds of spring redefine
A morning bird masterfully sings
As caressing raindrops softly cling

Life is restored to a land once considered
to be dead … resurrected … uninjured
A miraculous spirit dwells in each revived cell
Renewing my soul … confirming that all is well
