It was I believe a Mediterranean scene
high upon a cliff edge overlooking the sea
a setting sun captivated all thoughts
there sat a beauty that few could see
a beauty made more so by your presence
that I cared not for heaven nor the stars
but a captured moment in time held
forever within my heart, a treasure, true
how I shall search my mind and thoughts
through books of knowledge and art
in vain and hopeless abandon to find
something to pay such fitting tribute
to that setting scene we and we alone
saw as one unified entity of a higher love
a single moment of pure perfection
and in your eyes, your eyes
I knew the only answer I needed to know
