A Mother's Hope Poem by Tammy Nicholls

A Mother's Hope

My little girl with hair of gold
And eyes as green as grass
My little boy has hair of sand
With hazel eyes, full of laughs

Her tempers hot, emotions strong
With an inner rage of fire
His tempers placid, emotions calm
Life dreams his main desire

She's quick to anger, slow to hurt
Such an angry little girl
He's slow to anger, quickly hurt
But precious as a pearl

I love them yes, they are my heart
The reason for why I live
Two little angles, disguised as devil's
For them my life I'd give

He may of taken both of you
Though not once did I let go
A Mother's love can not end
It will forever grow and grow

I never got to hold youse close
Not even a kiss goodnight
Though if I had my time again
I'd go back and make it right
