A Mournful Return Poem by Sankhajit Bhattacharjee

A Mournful Return

He returned after 10 years.

10 years back his love's father scolded him.
'If you fail to be a prosperous man,
don't come to claim my daughter'.
He requested, 'Let her wait. I will come back'.

He made a massive search.
What did he find?
A lady was feeding her baby with breast milk!
