A Mystical Lover's Lament

There's a gaping hole in the heart
a thing that you would not impart;
all the estrangement one does feel
now has a bearing that's so real.

What love you felt then is no more
as a cold wind blows thru the door.
One now hears voices in the mind
like echoes of some barren kind.

The body's need for food has grown
whereas before you could disown.
It seems the grace of Love's presence
gave some nourishment of Essence.

You had a feeling Love would leave
for wounded Love cannot deceive.
What now of Love can life presume
one gathers and time does consume.

It also appears Love has gone
to leave you feeling all alone.
A state which can't be really filled
as Love's sanction to you is billed.

Your heart's door is kept open wide
for Love to come back there inside.
When Love heeds that call to return
Love's true embrace you will discern.

If Love takes too long coming back
Its absence may cause you to crack.
Those tears in the eyes that now flow
will pave the way for Love to know.

True Love's a blessing of God's Light
and shines thru the dark of the night.
The way is cleared for those it seems
who heed that Call as Love redeems.
