A Naked Dream Poem by Mervyn Graham

A Naked Dream

In the midst of a bustling town square,
I found myself, quite unaware,
Stripped of clothes, without a care,
Naked as the day I was born, I swear!

Oh, the stares I did receive,
As if they couldn't quite believe,
A sight so bold, they couldn't conceive,
Of a person nude, yet so naive.

But what's the harm in being bare?
Just skin and flesh, no need to stare,
Embrace the freedom, if you dare,
For modesty's sake, I do not care!

So let them gawk, let them whisper,
I'll prance around like a carefree whisper,
For in my nakedness, I find a glimmer,
Of joy and laughter, oh what a shimmer!

So if you ever find yourself exposed,
In a public place, without your clothes,
Just laugh it off, strike a pose,
For life's too short to wear all those clothes!
