A National Travesty Poem by L MILTON HANKINS

A National Travesty

How can they lament their injustice in a divided land
While seeking to undermine fundamental truths
Would mock the central tenets of our democracy
Would steal from common folk their right to ballot

While seeking to undermine fundamental truths
White nationalists, Proud Boys, scoffing at decency
Would steal from common folk their right to ballot
Make a travesty of the core values we hold sacred

White nationalists, Proud Boys, scoffing at decency
Would mock the central tenets of our democracy
Make a travesty of the core values we hold sacred
How can they lament their injustice in a divided land

Great pantoum. Some people feel inferior in their skin their worth is derived from hating another as inferior....a real traversty. I am sure decency and common sense will prevail.
