A Nepali Girl Taking Me Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

A Nepali Girl Taking Me

Just a mere sighting of her,
A Nepali girl
Seemed to be
Taking me away to
Darjeeling and Kalimpong
And to Nepal
And I dreaming of,
Viratnagar and Kathmandu,
Janankpur, Pokhra, Lumbini,
To the routes as for entering Nepal,
The boundaries of it.

The hilly terrains, rugged mountainous domains,
Snow-capped peaks,
Glaciers, rivers, lakes
With forests and sanctuaries,
Snowfall and blue skies,
Houses on the steps and high ups
But sometimes hazards
Seem to be frightening with
Avalanches, blizzards and hoarfrost.
