A New Dawn Beyond Poem by Wangchat konyak

A New Dawn Beyond

Death must be gentle and resplendent;
No more agony, no more fear,
Just the cold, tranquil silence,
Freed from torment, freed from care,
Lying motionless and breathless.
I know, should my end arrive,
Six hearts shall mourn and lament.
Beyond my absence, a new journey dawns.
I shall not regret, I concede,
If I must depart tonight or tomorrow;
I heed not if my dreams remain unfulfilled,
If my love's story remains incomplete,
If my existence is judged as cowardly
Or deemed a flight from woe and failure.
I harbour no regret in dying
Unfulfilled, naive, and green;
I rejoice in departing swiftly,
Calm and quiet, leaving no trace or sound.
In a world consumed by avarice,
Chasing fame, power, and dominion;
Madness and corrupt, rife with hatred,
Wars and chaos a daily headlines—
It is, to me, a waking nightmare
To draw another breath;
A land of terror and extortion,
Where love cannot endure,
Truth cannot thrive, hope cannot ascend,
And peace cannot flourish.
If virtues cannot persist here,
Then here I do not belong.
