A New May Day Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

A New May Day

Darkness starts to fade,
Night gives way to light.
Air is soft and kind,
Birds begin their flight.

Cheeping, chirping sounds,
Waking sleepy trees.
Sun not yet in sight,
Carried on the breeze.

Twenty-first night's done,
Thursday takes the lead.
Days are waiting now,
For June's warming deed.

Summer soon will bloom,
With sunshine bright and new.
Then the sun will turn,
Towards fall, more cold
and blue.
