A New Page Day - Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

The sky is gray and murky
The covers are over my head...
It's a morning that makes me want
to stay in a warm cozy bed

A dear friend
is coming over soon…
Time to get moving
Time to change my tune

If the sun doesn't shine...
today will still be glowing
It is the sunshine inside
the keeps a body going

No need to be melancholy
when friendship can revive
a dreary day filled with doldrums;
like a transfusion keeping me alive

After parting and saying goodbye
there is a lasting smile on my face
Giving my day a boost of confidence
as the clouds in the sky are erased
