A New Year Coming Poem by Ray Hansell

A New Year Coming

The air was cold
The night was clear
We walked along
I held you near

Christmas lights everywhere
Houses all decorated
Christmas time is here
A holiday much awaited

Very soon a New Year
Will ring in loud and clear
Everybody looking forward
To a much calmer year
