A Pedal Prayer Poem by JoAnn McGrath

A Pedal Prayer

Rating: 5.0

A Pedal Prayer
'God blesses the people who patiently endure testing.
Afterwards they will receive the crown of life that God
has promised to those who love Him.'
(James 1: 12)

Dear Lord,

I guess I'm failing at enduring your testing.
I'm not learning what you want to teach.
I'm riding that tandem bike up a steep hill.
I have left you in the back seat
and I am trying to do all the work alone.
Maybe I want to forget you are even there
It's so hard to put you in the front seat
and let you pedal.

You must do things for yourself not look for divine answers from some place else... Andy 10
