A penny saved is solely a penny
Altho it's shiny and tiny ~ ask any,
If kept many to a rainy day, handy
for a parasol or for pot of honey.
A penny well nigh a hill of beans resold,
Only if therein leverage to metal.
Minted rare coinage fit for a fat bundle,
When it's alloy of aluminum or gold.
To fall heir or fish cash from a wishing well
Is quasineedle in a haystack! Farewell.
A penny saved is solely a penny.
Altho it's shiny and tiny ~ ask any.

I would like to translate this poem
A well rhyming poem on a penny, nay, money! But what was the inner thought?
Bazeletta(or Frottola-barzelletta) an Italian poetic form!
