A Picture On The Fridge Poem by Linda Harnett

A Picture On The Fridge

Rating: 5.0

It’s only a picture on the fridge,
Unnoticed day by day,
Just part of the surroundings,
Now isn’t that the way.

And now and then I look at it,
It’s just a photograph,
But it recalls a memory,
Of how you made me laugh.

It was taken at a function,
I believe it’s Christmas time,
I see you’re holding mistletoe,
And we’re singing Auld Lang Syne.

Just a horde of happy faces,
In the foreground just we two,
And someone caught the moment,
When I fell in love with you.

I know it’s just a picture,
But it’s there for all to see,
It constantly reminds me you’re,
The only one for me.
