A Piece Of Rotten Fruit: An Apple Rotten To Core Poem by Terence George Craddock

A Piece Of Rotten Fruit: An Apple Rotten To Core

strangely with fruit
devastating disappointment
is a delicious apple

looks so promising
looks so juicy
looks so delicious

so fresh juicy appealing
rosy red firm on outside
but rotten to terrible core

that shock rotten bite
into core is a mind shock
rotten taste best spat

out distaste fast
from violated mouth
if possible forgotten

a deceptive
disappointment
violation

a rotten apple
slap in mouth betrayal
of great expecation
