The Enemy Poem by Ed Homer

The Enemy

I sit in my abode
I look out among the stars
Wondering what transpired
Inciting this social war

The hatred of our country's flag
Our anthem is scorched and torn
These haters of the American people
Should be shown the door

I say take their citizenship
Remove their names from the rolls
Ship them to their destination
The countries they support

It is better to remove them
Than to keep up this turmoil
If they continue on
We will all be boiled in oil

The whites who are in office
Want us whites to disappear
So they can bring back the past
Controlling the slaves of this frontier

For democrats owned the states
Of which slavery was born
They left the union party
So slavery could carry on

Read the history of our state hood
See for yourselves what was born
Instead of being puppets
Bringing back that you abhorred

You the blind and mindless
Follow orders one and all
Yet you deny your devotion
To stop this unneeded war

You think you are saviors
You are fools that are in store
For the biggest let down in history
When once again you mop their floors

Lincoln was a republican president
Our party stopped the pain
And yet you repay us
With your hatred for being saved
