A Place In This World For Me Poem by Casandra Assy

A Place In This World For Me

So many things to say and do
But I can't seem to find a way
Trying to find myself,
But times running out.

As I reach for those stars
With no wings to reach that far
Consumed in a world filled with doom,
Trying to fill the empitness

I'm so lost in you.
Lost my inner peace when I looked into your eyes.
I start spinning, slipping out of time.
I scream aloud, as it reaps through me
Leaving me blinded.

In the twilight, I build my steel wall
In the shadows of your heart I live and breathe
At times I wish I couldn't feel
Wish I could forget the pain is real

When I start to run, and fall
With my feet off the ground
I wanna live like I see
A place in this world for me.
