A Poem For Dad 17.09.2016

The mist of memory dulled your mind
it took away some precious time.
Years have flown, but in that space,
we still could see your happy face.

Deep inside that hidden core,
you still were there as you were before.
In the end, all said and done
you battled on now age has won.

Your mind diminished, ours are fine
we'll remember you throughout all time.
And when we come to that happy place,
we will look to find your smiling face.
