A Pompous Fish Poem by Benjamin Tetteh

A Pompous Fish

It swims out of location
Through the warm and cold seas
Many miles from home
Into the grave foretold
It dives through the shark
Hoping the usual exit
Only to find his way
Into the grave foretold
It prayed an opening up
Quickly jumped out from the mouth
Many miles from home
Never a lesson learnt
It joined a group of his kind
With such a lousy heart
They into a trap
Which never let them go

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
It's a lesson from a cartoon I saw. Teaching man to be careful at all times.

Ah-ha, I perceive a life-lesson concealed within this crafty poem. Or is there a Jonah lesson to be learned? Read mine - Storm Song - Adeline
