A Poor Kid Poem by Rubab Meraj

A Poor Kid

A poor kid was wandering around the town,
And saw a man with a hat which was brown,
The poor kid asked if he had money,
The man replied yes my dear honey,
Please give me (at least) a buck,
I hope I’m in luck,
But why do you want cash, you fool,
Dear Sir, I want to learn in school,
Here take one nickel,
Sir, in it, only I think will come a pickle,
Just give me ten,
For that I need to buy a pen,
Get lost, you big dummy!
Okay then do not give me money,
Now get lost,
What are you a deceiving fox?
No sir I am a poor little kid.
By Rubab.
