A Practical Guide To Prayer! Poem by Denis Martindale

A wise man kneels, before God's Throne, with great humility,
Yet all God's children are well-known because of Calvary.
Adopted through amazing grace, they sing, How Great Thou Art,
Before the Father, bringing praise, as Christ did from the start.
A hundred psalms portray the path that David once decreed,
Declaring that God's rod and staff were blessings he would need.
Psalm 22 enlightens all that God can prophesy,
Outlining every miracle, though Jesus Christ must die.

Disciples learned what happened next, but Thomas sought the truth,
The Saviour knew he was perplexed, and yet provided proof.
Remember Thomas when you pray, when his faith was renewed,
Remember what he had to say, once wisdom changed his mood.
Remember, too, our risen Lord, Jesus of Nazareth,
Remember, and stay overawed, because He conquered death.
By faith, stay faithful every day, like those who get baptised,
Who rise like Jesus, and then pray, still praising God for Christ.

The Holy Spirit guides Mankind toward eternal peace,
Yet grants much more, when He can find, God's children on their knees.
