A Prayer For You Poem by Mustafa Marconi

A Prayer For You

Rating: 4.8

Here I am once again
Ready to start my journey
A prayer for my family
My wife and my child
A prayer for a sound take off
And a safe landing
Soon I’ll return
If it is God’s will
To embellish my baby
And spoil her
To sing the songs of Paul Simon
“Homeless, Homeless
Moonlight Sleeping On A Midnight Lake”
To look into her eyes and comfort her
And share the legacy of our glorious past
Of a long and illustrious history
Of great civilizations
Magnificent architecture
And men of renown
A prayer for the homeless
For the hungry and desolate
A prayer for peace, understanding, and tolerance
A prayer for a sound take off
And a safe landing
Peace be upon you
And upon you be peace
