A Prayer For Young Girls Poem by Mysia Hayling

A Prayer For Young Girls

Rating: 3.5

I pray for young girls with visions
Young girls who think positive and make good decisions
Young girls who rise above foolish mentality
And ignore men who lose their respect for humanity
Men who use their affluence
To prey on their innocence
who live without conscience.

I pray for young girls who treasure their body
And not use it as leverage but want to become somebody,
I pray for those young girls, who want to be more than ordinary,
And knows that everything in life is temporary
You are sweet right now, but soon as their belly full their mouths turn sour,
Girls, you got to know what's the hour
These men only seek to conquer and devour.

I pray young girls will hold their heads up high,
They will keep their legs close and their belly flat
And not let their parents bawl and say what is that,
But keep focus and try to strive
Let their creativity drive them not their looks,
Seek to gain wisdom and knowledge from their books,
I pray they will endure through the race,
Not let money spoil their face.
