A Puppy In The Stroller Poem by Joan Xie

A Puppy In The Stroller

Rating: 5.0

After work,
On the way to home,
Iron somber, glance cold,
Unquenchable hunger stiff subway platform.

A puppy
Refuses to walk.
It jumps into a baby stroller, demanding equal protection.
Woof wooof woooof wooooooof.

A man smiles secretly at his own shadow.
A woman unbraids her despair.
The city is drifting
Listlessly in an endless drizzle.
