A Quiet Plea Poem by Thomas McKelvey

A Quiet Plea

I can feel your touch
even when we're apart,
watercolor bloom stained skin,
a phantom ache,
a breathlessness memories bring.

Your head in my lap,
eyes filled with longing, a silent plea,
vulnerable in my care.

Is it too much to ask,
(I'd make any sacrifice)
to find my way back to you?

For just one secret glance,
a whispered word, anything,
to save me from this falling.
