A Realization....
i am never afraid of
the deep
even as a young child
Papa already
taught me how to swim
and to dive
for shells
what i am afraid of
which i later realized in my
mid-age is
that i am simply living in the
shallowness of my
own waters
i do not sink
i am not drowned
but
i feel like i am
choked and
dying....
