A Relationship Poem by Randy McClave

A Relationship

In a relationship there has to be more than sex
Or soon I promise, you will be my ex,
No matter if it's the greatest sex that I've ever had
Only momentarily will it make the brain glad.
Sex will never be enough just for me to stick around
Soon, I won't be with you found,
I need my soul constantly and completely fed
I need Spiritual growth in my soul to learn instead.
Teach me, mold me, guide me, talk to me, truly love me I say
Sit beside of me, and let us talk and then pray
Sex last only for a few quick moments that I know
From sex alone no person can ever grow.
Spiritual growth lasts a lifetime and then it's forever
Sex ends, but God does never,
Through belief I want us both to learn and see
And then when we connect, you'll then understand me.
