This blessed moment of acquaintance
This unintentional but fateful meeting
A consoling presence, soothing breeze
This pleasant spirit, a newfound friend
Sent to ease my painful humbling here
A morning greeting to prepare each day
A smile more pleasant and sweeter than
A congeries of ten thousand joyous roses
Can inspire or muster in a lover’s heart
Invoking a gleeful smile within my soul

Here, amid such arrogance and ego play
Waltz in a tender hand, this blessed air
Of refreshment and due benevolence
To warm my heart and uplift my spirit
To brighten my countenance with hope
To assure me the coming of better days
And this blessed soul, this angel of hope
This gleeful presence, this joyous heart
Does comfort my soul at every meeting
Herein, a season of love and friendship
Ordained and guided by the hand of God
‘Tis the unfolding of a lifetime memory
