A Secret Poem by moon batchelder

A Secret

Rating: 5.0

i'm a secret.
i'm much easier kept, than known;
nor complete yet,
like a seed not fully grown
to be the tree that
will be, after seasons pass.
tho for now just barely seen
amidst the grass.

i'm a secret.
and not frequently disclosed.
so discreet, yet
perhaps a hint of passion shows
beneath the scenery
of me, behind the moods.
no one ever has endeavored
to intrude.

i'm a secret,
not some rumor passed around.
no deceit, - yet
encrypted meanings 'til you've found
the rosetta stone that
holds the missing clue.
it's forbidden me to
tell myself to you.
