A Shadow Poem by Sabrina Brown

There was a shadow behind me
And I knew that I was grimy
So I wanted to know who it was
I turned around and looked
It was my sister so I turn back around
To realize it was a friend so I ask him
For his name n number
And I said when
He said why then nevermind
Because he knew I was serious
But he also knew that I was curious
So I said our relationship needs to go further
Then I heard him
I realized what I was saying
So I caught myself praying
In the mist that I was probably wrong
To do what I was saying.
But I knew it was going to happen soon or later
Cause he looks like a player by the shape n that's something I love.
