Amanda, you mean so much—
the truth is very painful at times.
Ask the French poet Baudelaire
if you can interrogate his corpse,
his grave, grave site …I cannot explain
my feelings at times—like right now.
Just be patient with me as you never
have been before—no answer, no response
when I call the number you gave me.
If you will, trust me—I understand your
situation, and what happened here …

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This poem … well, it is written from an excess of emotion. Yet, know this, as it stands, Amanda means so much to me.
