A Sighing Sea, Like Me Poem by Jade Leven

A Sighing Sea, Like Me

Rating: 4.5

flowing strands of glass...
impossible unless seen with more than your eyes
times that have come to pass
reflect themselves before me as the ocean sighs

thin lines, ripples, touch the sand
like fingers softly brushing skin
too complex to understand
the calmness above, the power within

it almost appears tired and sad
after all the adventures it's had
it seems less than expectant... like me

its breathing is steady
but almost too slow; it can't be awake
sleeping, hibernating
containing false promises...fake

like me.
