A Silent Miracle Poem by Steven S. Walsky

A Silent Miracle

a silent miracle

silent snowflakes
dancing between the stars
softly blanketing the yard

a rabbit has left tracks
across the once green expanse
now white, with flower’s envy
now white, reflecting the moon’s blush

standing by the window
my mind
warmed by the fire’s glow
warmed by the thoughts of friends
heightened all the more,
by the silent miracle of newly fallen snow
