A Simple Kiss Poem by Robert Dunbar

Even though it only lasted a short time,
You brought happiness back in to my life with a simple kiss.
We have both been hurt badly in the past,
But life cant stop or be put on hold because of this.

I was willing to open my heart once more for you,
Only to find out your still stuck in the past.
All partners are not like the previous ones,
If something feels so right as we did it will last.

Maybe it was only me feeling something special,
Possible I’m not what you are looking for in a guy.
But if people are not willing to give things a chance,
The human race may as well lay down and die.
