A Simple Talk Poem by Someone u don't wanna know

A Simple Talk

Rating: 4.5

Covered in layer of dust, everything is so lifeless
or perhaps it's more than the dust that clouds my vision..
Something heavy in my heart creating a strange dullness,
the cold is cutting in deep without any scission...

I'm walking, moving again on the very same path
dragging myself, feeling nature's wrath.
Moving though I am every step is hard to take,
Invisible shackles holding me back are hard to break.

I look around
those fallen leaves and creepers on ground,
the tiny pebbles and that distant sound.....

Even the sun rays aren't able to make the dew drops sparkle,
I look down again and continue walking as the sky gets darker.

As I walk I realize many thoughts running in and out of my head
but I don't stop them and let them drown me instead.....
Suddenly every thought vanished and my head unlocked,
standing by the road side was a little girl wearing a soiled frock..

Standing bare feet
she didn't feel the cold! !
Smiling brightly at me,
her sparkling eyes had innocence untold!

Surprised a little, I stood there for a while,
she was still smiling and willingly even I gave back a smile.
She wasn't someone I knew... Just a stranger,
The numb heart of mine was now warmer...

This was a very Simple talk between us and I moved on.
Only now I was looking up, the darkness within was gone.....
