A Sister Like You Poem by krishna kumar

A Sister Like You

You gave me your toys when I am sad about my broken toys
You did my record works and got me good name from my teachers
You washed and ironed my clothes so that I looked dapper
Sometimes when I fought with our parents you argued with them for me.
When I told you that I love her, you didn't care about anything except me,
You walked straight up to her to make her mine…
When she told me that she didn't love me,
You cried a lot than me at first
And later you took courage to wipe my tears out.
When I was fully broke up.
It was you who gave me sustenance and made me to bind myself once again.
When you are busy living my life you really forgot to live your own life...
I don't know who is going to shed the first tear
When your prince comes to take you- my soulful happiness-in the groom's disguise...
Like a jasmine you are, the fragrance remains the same in spite of the place you go...
Like a jewel you are, you will adorn anyone who wear...
Like a rainbow you are, so colorful to everyone's eyes...
And as far as I know, you are my special gift, because
A sister like you is hard to get
