A Small Kartik Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

A Small Kartik

A small Kartik
Left near my house
Calling me
To take in

And after seeing it
Standing at my gate,
Feeling within,
What should I,
Should I take in?

A small, small idol
Of Kartik,
Child Kartik
I appalled to see at
My my gate.

I ina doubt
As for take to worship
And rites and rituals to do for
Or shoul I not,
Will it not be a curse to refuse to worship?

How nauthy the bad boys
Of the locality
Forcing upon me,
How the miscreants!
But the worship will not go in vain,
Whispers the inner voice.
