Heard the gunshots, I guess they're here.
Well equipped with all the weapons.
People dying here and there.
Screaming aloud, calling them demons.
I stood up and looked around.
The streets burning, children crying.
Still watching then I found.
In the mud, a flag lying.
I picked it up and held it high.
That day I promised myself,
I won't let them in. I won't let them buy.
Our wishes, our dreams and ourselves.
Wrists clinched, blood pounding in veins.
I took a gun and stood for peace.
No religious lectures, no saints,
But a national spirit is needed atleast.
To crush our enemy and block their entry.
Like a strong wall we have to face.
The threats, our fears for the beloved country.
We have to hold ground and compete in this race.
I faught, I sacrificed, put on stake my own life.
For the sake of my people, my nation.
I suffered alot, got wounds by knife.
Till the end I tried with all my passion.
The war is still on but I'm dying.
It's painful yet I seem satisfied.
Don't let tears come in your eyes, stop crying.
Passing you my duty, I'm soon to be retired.
Keep it secure just the way I did.
A soldier like me would never fly.
Give it your all, don't feel like a kid.
Lift this flag to the sky, hold it high.
