A Soldier With Feelings. Poem by Monkals Kalu

A Soldier With Feelings.

Rating: 5.0

The war is over,
And enemies have
Become friends, but
With scares in their hearts.

His smile looks
Great, but such can't
Be said of the memories
The war has left in his heart.

He still hear
The voices of those
He wish had escaped
A kiss from his bullets.

He remembers how
Cruel his bombs were to
The lives of their enemies.
Oh, that gladdens his heart.

Even as the war is
Over, sad memories
Still lingers as he thinks
Of the friends they've lost,
The enemies they've slayed,
And the young and old that fell.
Yes, he's a ruthless combatant!
But, also A Soldier With Feelings.
